Getting started

1. Install Evident from the Shopify App Store and approve the monthly subscription.
2. On the Evident home page, click Enable in theme editor, make sure the Evident app embed is switched on, then click Save.
3. That's it. Evident starts measuring visits (only from visitors who accept analytics cookies) and runs its first analysis once your store has received about 150 visits. Further analyses run automatically every day when there is enough new traffic.

Frequently asked questions

What kind of recommendations will I get?

Only fixes with no possible downside, each backed by real visits: searches that return no results although you sell the product, links to pages that no longer exist, elements that visitors click but that do nothing, add-to-cart errors, content overflowing on mobile, checkout errors, slow pages, and more.

What does “apply” do?

Depending on the fix: Evident adds a search correction that only triggers when a search returns no results, creates a URL redirect in your store, injects a small CSS correction, or makes an element clickable. Every applied fix can be undone with the Undo button. Some recommendations are instructions that you apply yourself.

Will it slow down my store?

No. The script is under 10 KB, loads with defer after your page, and sends data in small batches in the background.

Is it GDPR compliant?

Yes. Nothing is collected before the visitor accepts analytics cookies, no personal information is collected, and data is hosted in France and deleted after 45 days. See the privacy policy.

Why don't I see recommendations yet?

The first analysis needs about 150 visits with analytics consent. Check that the Evident app embed is enabled in your theme (Online Store → Themes → Customize → App embeds). If you get a lot of traffic and still see nothing after a couple of days, write to us.

How do I cancel?

Uninstall Evident from Settings → Apps. The subscription stops immediately and your store data is deleted 48 hours later.

Pour résilier, désinstallez l'app depuis Paramètres → Applications.
